Grinding fresh coffee right before you brew it with a high quality burr grinder can be a truly wonderful experience and is in a flavour league of it's own compared to using pre-ground coffee. We're over the moon to have found a solution for you to enjoy the wonderful experience of grinding your own delicious coffee without seriously breaking the bank or needing a PHD and a lab coat to make a world class coffee; drum role please...introducing the Fellow Ode Gen 1 Filter Coffee Grinder. Bang for buck, this grinder is wonderful value and I'd still say that if it was 10 times the price, it really is such a quality and versatile unit for filter coffee making.
The quality of your coffee grinder has the single greatest impact on the quality of your extraction and that flavour of your coffee. Of course, you still need high quality coffee beans to set you up for success, but thereafter if your grinder isn't up to scratch you're fighting a losing battle. I frequently get asked about how I make coffee for myself. I use different grinders for different types of coffee (one for filter and a different one for espresso). Every single morning to kick off my day I make a fresh Pour Over coffee using the Fellow Ode Gen 1 coffee grinder with upgraded Gen 2 Brew Burrs.

We are also offering the option if you should wish to upgrade to the Gen 2 Brew Burrs. You don't need to upgrade as the default Gen 1 burrs are terrific as they are, however the Gen 2 burrs really do make a notable and welcomed difference as they are capable of going much finer (still not fine enough for espresso, as this grinder is for filter). For example, there's 31 grind settings, when making a Pour Over using Gen 1 burrs I start on a 3 setting, when using the Gen 2 burrs for a Pour Over I start on a 9 setting. If you'd like to upgrade to the Gen 2 Burrs you can do so here by selection the variant option, at an additional cost of $129.99. If you do decide to upgrade we can either just send you the new burrs with your grinder for you to install yourself or we can install the new burrs for you for a $50 install charge. If we install the Gen 2 burrs for you, we'll send you the original Gen 1 Burrs in the Gen 2 burr box
Another thing I do in the morning's to both maximise my coffee's flavour enjoyment resulting in virtually zero ground retention in the chute and significantly minimising any mess caused by lose coffee grounds sticking to things as a result of statis electricity is to spray the beans with a light mist of water using an atomizer, you're able to add an atomiser via the variants options here for only $25
